Hacking the Internet voting system

Do you wonder why you cannot vote from the comfort of your home?

In 2010 Alex Halderman, assistant professor at the University of Michigan, hacked the Washington D.C. Internet voting system together with three of his students.

Alex Halderman is a member of the external advisory board in Demtech, a research project located at the IT University of Copenhagen. DemTech provides answers to the question of how to modernize the democratic process without jeopardizing the fundamental principles on which democracies are built.

The DemTech project is financed through a generous grant from The Danish Council for Strategic Research.
